There have been major life changes for all of us during the COVID-19 stay at home orders. I’ll admit, its been bittersweet to stay home and at the same time temporarily shut down my business.
My sessions ended with Easter Minis and my family’s magazine photoshoot with Miamisburg Neighbors Magazine. It was a great end to a short break.
I’ve spent this time catching up on editing, rearranging basically all rooms in our home, teaching the boys and spending quality time with my husband. I look forward to re-opening but am enjoying the slow down.
As many of you have heard, Governor DeWine is allowing photography sessions to resume. While I certainly miss everyone, I want to re-open in a responsible way to maintain order and continue to protect my clients, myself and my unborn baby. I plan on beginning photography sessions May 15th with a combination of minis and full sessions in studio and outdoor.
My current plan is to create outdoor sunset mini sessions (much like fall minis) in order to accommodate all sessions that need scheduled. Baby boy #4 is due in July and with my past history I need to be mindful of my time to keep myself healthy.
Due to COVID-19, I have added precautionary measures to reduce risks even further:
- – If you have tested positive for COVID-19, are experiencing any respiratory symptoms, have a fever, or have been around someone exhibiting these symptoms, I ask you to reschedule for a fall date.
- – Face masks are not required for sessions.
- – Please take all members of your family’s temperature prior to session arrival . I will be taking my temperature as well. If your temperature is over 100.4 degrees, please call asap and reschedule your session.
- – The studio waiting area will remain closed. When you arrive for your session, please call or text and wait for a response at 937-902-2708 and remain in your vehicle until the studio is ready. Once the studio is ready, I will text you and have you enter the studio building.
- – Only the members of the family included in the session are allowed inside the studio. There will be no additional individuals to attend sessions unless the presence of a guardian is absolutely necessary for milestone/newborn/senior sessions.
- – You must maintain at least six feet of separation from myself at all times. – Common areas and props will be disinfected on a regular basis as always. – Props will be minimal to reduce exposure.
- – I will maintain social distancing, using a no-touch posing method when possible. Verbal instructions will be provided about posing, adjustments and tips from a distance when necessary. If you are uncomfortable with posing adjustments please reschedule for a later date.
- – The maximum gathering for a session will be 10 or fewer people.
Please see a list of other measures being taken by Tara Lewis Photography. Standard sanitation protocols prior to each client will include but are not be limited to:
- – Washing hands regularly before and after photographic sessions
- – Sanitation of all props, chairs, benches with which a client may come into contact
- – Sanitation of restroom facility if available to clients in-studio
- – Sanitation of common areas, including door knobs (interior and exterior).
- – Removal of unnecessary paper products or décor (magazines, newspapers, extraneous sales materials)
- – The use of PPE such as masks and gloves may be used while working with clients. Due to my pregnancy, the mask is very difficult to maintain my breath.
